Cross Tay Link Road in Scotland

The Cross Tay Link Road (CTLR) project is part of The City of Perth, Scotland, Transport Futures Project. The CTLR is a much-needed new road linking the trunk routes of the A9 and A94 providing a long awaited third crossing over the River Tay. It will help to alleviate traffic congestion in the City Centre and nearby Bridgend as well as facilitating sustainable development as envisaged in the Council’s Local Development Plan.

Using Paramics Discovery, SYSTRA has been working with Perth and Kinross Council to assess the benefits of the CTLR.

The appraisal has focussed on the following elements using Paramics Discovery;
- Development of a validated Base model of the City
- Development of future year models with Local Development Plan Land Use allocations integrated into the trip matrix
- Integration of the proposed Scheme in the future year model scenarios
- Scheme Appraisal using Paramics Discovery outputs for input into Economic Appraisal and Environmental Assessment.
