New features in Paramics Discovery 20 used to develop Watford model

SYSTRA Limited has been making use of the new features in Paramics Discovery 20, in their work with Hertfordshire County Council, reviewing the area surrounding Watford Junction train station.

The model has taken advantage of several new features including randomised pedestrian crossings and the give way to oncoming traffic. With these features, SYSTRA Ltd has improved the vehicle behaviour around areas of dense pedestrian activity traffic where traffic calming measures are in place.

Compound junctions have also been used to recreate more complex signal controlled junctions and to help record turn counts of specific movements through multiple nodes.
